AIG Q1 GI CoR declines to 92.9% on strong NA results

AIG has decreased its first quarter general insurance (GI) combined ratio by 5.9 points to 92.9%, driven mostly by improvements in its North America business, which swung back to underwriting profits, providing fresh credibility to the view that the carrier has landed its P&C turnaround.
